Walking with the Holy Spirit
The first disciples of Jesus were able to walk and talk with Him. They followed His lead, asked questions, and had fellowship with Him. When Jesus went back to Heaven, He sent us the Holy Spirit, so we can have that same direct access to Heaven. As they walked with Jesus, we can walk with the Holy Spirit.
The Holy Spirit teaches us and reveals to us what the Word of God says. When we welcome Him in, the scriptures come alive.
To walk with the Holy Spirit, we need to get to know His voice and recognize His presence. It is a journey, but the more we listen to Him and follow His lead, the more sensitive our spirits become to His presence.
When our spirits are aware of the Holy Spirit’s presence all throughout our day, we can easily hear Him and follow His lead if there is something He wants us to do. We don’t need to take a long time in prayer or wait four weeks before we move on His prodding. We can be in sync with Him when there is someone He wants us to love on or reach out to. Walking with the Holy Spirit is very important for any disciple of Jesus.
